The Lost Sheep

It’s quite a shock for Antonio and Gilbert to discover that their best friend ignored their tradition of Friday celebrations of student life, as they, instead of the expected smartly-dressed party animal, find Francis huddled at his desk with laptop faintly illuminating the stashes of books he barricaded himself in.

On the other end of the city, a young boy wonders why his soon-to-be-professor older brother won’t pick his phone even on the fourth attempt.

Arthur’s phone lies forgotten somewhere in the kitchen while he himself balances on the top of his library ladder, pulling out book after book; he is driven by the same force as the student he got into a heated argument with that very afternoon - “I will prove him wrong.”
